I suppose a slight explanation is in order. This is a microblog. It’s intended to take you along with me on the road. It’s quick photos, what I ate, where I went, and some of the tedium along the way. It’s a place I can keep things that aren’t big blog posts. That will be posted over at http://jerseysandhockeylove.com/blog/.

So why not just use twitter? For one, this post wouldn’t work on twitter. It’s just too long. And I’m trying to get away from twitter. There’s something about having your own unique place on the web that makes me happier. Another way of putting it: Remember the incredible Instagram debacle? Or how Facebook changes it’s agreement on the drop of a hat? I like having my own terms of service.
So follow along. You can use RSS (I know, ancient, right?) and this will update to twitter as well. And if you look in the upper right corner of this post, you can hit “reply” and leave a comment or have a conversation. In fact, the way this site does comments is pretty cool.
